Human Papilloma Vaccine (HPV)

The HPV vaccine prevents cervical cancer in women and genital warts in both men and women. It is available for both males and females from 9-26 years of age. It is administered in three injections over 6 months and is free of charge if administered in secondary school as part of the school vaccine programme. However, if you or your child missed this vaccine and would now like to avail of it, we can facilitate this for you. However, we need to order these vaccines in specifically and so payment is required in advance.

Young adults can find the transition from childhood to adulthood a challenging time and can frequently experience difficulties with their mental health. Please don’t hesitate to contact the practice for an appointment if these difficulties arise so we can support and guide you through this time and where necessary refer you for more specialist help.
